Molyneux fashions the perfect summer frock for Spring, 1925. Turquoise silk crepe is accented with beautiful tape lace in the two-tiered skirt and sleeves. Note on the hat how the ribbon is attached under the brim instead of on top, where you'd expect.
Artist Sonia Delaunay also produced fashion and textiles. This coat c. 1925 is of brown wool that has has been completely covered in embroidery of wool yarn and silk threads. The Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York is currently exhibiting "Color Moves: Art and Fashion by Sonia Delaunay" through June 5, 2011.
